Lisa Thomas, is the founder and Artistic Director of Dia De Los Muertos (DDLM) Carpinteria, and has brought the spectacular cultural traditions of this ceremony, including a parade, art exhibit, creative workshops and live performances to our community since 2014. She holds an M.A. in Clinical Psychology and has worked in the Juvenile Justice System as an Expressive Arts Therapist & Social Worker. A photographer and community organizer, she is also an Artist in Residence for S.B. Summer Solstice.The Festival begins with a parade that starts at the Carpinteria Library on Sat, Oct. 29 at 4 pm.This year the Carpinteria Womans Club is proud to sponsor the after-parade celebration on Sat, Oct. 29, from 4:30-7:30 pm.Learn how to get involved!Please bring a dish to share or a bottle of wine.
