CWC Scholarship Fund Awardee Roster


The CWC funds an annual scholarship that benefits an exemplary Carpinteria High School female graduate.

Each year the Scholarship Fund of Santa Barbara interviews & selects a winner who demonstrates academic excellence and financial eligibility. We are proud to watch our college bound students be rewarded for their hard work and determination.

2020 Carpinteria Woman’s Club Scholarship Fund Awardee:
Michelle Alpizar

Michelle Alpizar is a 2020 graduate of Carpinteria High School (CHS). During each of her semesters at CHS, her school and the California Scholarship Federation recognized her for high academic attainment. Michelle has maintained a 4.40 GPA, while, also being very active on the volleyball and basketball teams. Outside of her extracurricular activities, she has volunteered over 300 hours with Girls Inc., which is a mentorship and empowerment program for girls. In the fall, Michelle plans to attend UCLA and major psychology. Michelle’s career goal is to become a child psychologist. Michelle writes, "I have done all of this with the goal of one day becoming a child psychologist so that I can help children the way I have been supported."
