Happy New Year all!
We’ve made it through the fire … and the floods.. and the mud…
and are still making our way through the loss.
Can we NOW turn our attention to…
Have thoughts of kindness, empathy and being of service crowded the top of your Resolutions list??
Please join us on Wed, Feb. 7 at 7 pm to learn about a way to make a critical difference in the life of a local person struggling with a life threatening illness…be a Hospice Volunteer!
Hospice of Santa Barbara is now launching Compassionate Care of Carpinteria, where Adult and Children’s Bereavement Services, and Patient Care Services (PCS) are offered right here in our community, with a dedicated site and staff! PCS relies upon locals helping locals, and the Volunteer Program provides training and support to do so.
Tianna Swede, MSW, Patient Care Services Manager, and Nicole Romasanta, MA, Director of Volunteer Services at Hospice will be on hand to outline the role and responsibilities of being a Hospice Volunteer, and will review the structure of the training modules.
Please plan to attend, share widely and tell your friends!!
As always, we bring a dish or a bottle of wine to share…
