The Carpinteria Woman’s Club invites you to join us for an evening of Valentine’s revelry and artistic expression with artist, teacher, and fellow member, Janey Cohen
Wednesday, February 10, 7 pm
at the Woman’s Club
1059 Vallecito Rd.
Janey is excited to teach us all a unique and easy watercolor painting technique that anyone can do, even without any prior experience. You will be able to take home your beautiful artwork, transformed into lovely Valentine’s Day cards.
Basic materials will be provided, but if you would like to enhance your experience, you could bring:
v Your own watercolor paints and brushes
v A hair dryer to speed up the drying process
v Collage materials, stamps, glue, glitter, etc. to bedazzle your greeting cards
The presentation is free of charge. Please bring a friend, and a sweet or savory Valentine’s dish or bottle of wine to share!
Janey Cohen has been a local teacher for the past 36 years and after recently retiring from the classroom has found time to rediscover the artist within. She is currently focusing on the medium of watercolor, and you can see images of her work at her website-in-progress at www.janeycohenart.com. She is a member of the Santa Barbara Art Association, and is actively involved with the Carpinteria Arts Center.
